Our pursuit of world domination continues – let’s finish examining Biden’s AI Bill of Rights.
If you’ve been living under a rock, you might have missed our wonderful article that our great team (me) created last week. Don’t worry because I won’t hesitate to provide some shameless self-promotion – https://commonerai.substack.com/p/creating-the-ai-bill-of-rights
But I also understand that you may be too lazy to click on the link above, which is understandable. I’m just surprised and happy that you were able to roll out of bed in the morning without hurting yourself, so let’s count that as a win.
The last two principles are:
Principle 4 – Notice and Explanation: This principle states that the public has a right to understand and know how these AI systems are being used and what the impact will be. For example, if there is a risk that the AI system will self-destruct and wipe out whole countries full of people, I believe the expectation is there to be a nice piece of documentation written in Comic Sans explaining that might happen. I need to get a good workout in before this happens, it is only fair.
Principle 5 – Human Alternatives, Consideration, and Feedback: This principle states that if you don’t like your AI overlord’s plans, you should have the ability to opt-out for a human alternative if possible. Anyone wishing for a complete AI takeover might not be happy with this one. I hope y’all find solace in the fact that the introverts and human being haters are aligned with you on this one.
I really wanted to look at Anthropic’s paper on AI Safety, but since the Biden administration recently released “Key AI Actions 180 Days Following President Biden’s Landmark Executive Order” – we might have to take a look at this one first.
Thank you, everyone, for reading; I really do appreciate it. I love hearing your positivity and feedback!
